One Contract now covers BOTH types of rentals. Choose a Rental With Alcohol Allowed or a Rental With No Alcohol.
Rental rates are listed above.
RENTERS MUST TAKE THEIR GARBAGE WITH THEM AT THE END OF THE RENTAL
Most of our renters utilize our access badge entry system to enter through the side kitchen door. Renters preferring to unlock the front doors with a key are encouraged to contact the City Office the week of their rental to obtain a combination to the lock box. This four digit code will allow you to access the key that unlocks the front doors for your rental. Lock box codes change regularly, so just give us a call any time after the Monday morning before your rental.
The main hall of the building measures 80' x 46', so there is plenty of space for small to large gatherings, with a maximum building capacity at 525 people.
Interested in renting the Grant Community Center? You can obtain rental forms online (above), at the Community Center (vestibule), or at the City Offices.
We have added links Online to all of our rental contract and forms for your convenience. Please print, fill out, and submit Rental Contract, Rental Information/Procedures, and Building Checklist for your rental. Rental documents must be delivered in person so that City officials can go over them face-to-face, and all paperwork must be completed and submitted at least one full week before your rental. You need to hold onto the Building Checklist to complete before and after your rental. Just be sure to turn in the completed Building Checklist so we can return your deposit without delay!
Rentals with alcohol require a certificate of host liquor liability insurance, which will typically cost you for an additional expense. Essentially, this insurance policy needs to extend your homeowner's insurance policy to add the Community Center as an "Additional Insured" for the date of your rental. It is not at all unusual for the process to take 3-5 weeks to obtain the necessary documents, so plan ahead and start the process early. Please call the City Office to check on building availability to reserve a rental date.
Expo/Open to the Public Type of Event Rentals
City of Grant staff asks that all rentals for expos, crafts fairs, and similar type events where vendors may need contact information, that the Renter agrees to supply their contact information in all advertisements to rent the Community Center. Too many vendors contact the City Offices for this information, and we will not give out this contact information.
*Taxpayers and current City residents residing within the approximately one square mile Grant City limits are eligible for a small rental discount. The taxpayer/registered voter must be the individual renting the facility, and the rental payment as well as security deposit must be paid by the taxpayer/registered voter. Insurance (rentals with alcohol) certificates must be in the taxpayer/registered voter name, and all paperwork must be handled by taxpayer/registered voter in order to receive the discount. A current Voter Registration receipt or paid tax bill must be provided along with valid identification to satisfy this requirement. Non-resident renters cannot run rental paperwork through a City taxpayer/resident to receive a discount.
