November 3, 2020 General Election |
NOTICE TO ABSENT VOTERS:
Any voter who received an absent voter ballot in the mail before October 1st should destroy it and look for a replacement ballot in the mail very soon. The original ballot did not include the 78th District Court Judge race. The County has replaced all election ballots that now include this race. Our replacement ballots begin with #315, so if your ballot number is lower, you will want to look for the replacement ballot in the mail. Please note, the programming has been changed to reflect the necessary correction, so any original ballot would be returned with a "Defective Ballot" error message when inserted into the tabulator by election inspectors. Defective ballots have to be duplicated at the close of polls. So if you have an original ballot, we ask that you destroy it. For voters who choose to vote in person, the polls open at 7am and close at 8pm.

August 4, 2020 Primary Election |
The August Primary will be a precinct-based election with voting by mail encouraged. Voters do NOT have to be added to the permanent absent voter list to vote by mail for one or two elections during a pandemic.
|
May 5, 2020 Special Election |
The City of Grant voters passed the Headlee Override Millage Proposal presented on May 5th. The historic "vote from home" election did not allow voters who showed up at the polls to vote their ballot to place that voted ballot directly into the tabulator. This election was certainly one for the record books.

March 10, 2020 Presidential Primary |
The polls open at 7am and close at 8pm. We have plenty of Election Inspectors working to ensure the process is efficient and timely throughout the day. New for 2020 we have designated voter parking spaces closest to the front door at City Hall.
Unsure where you need to vote? Every Clerk is able to lookup voters and direct them to the correct precinct, so please do not hesitate to ask.
